Don’t get me wrong. Covid-19 is horrific, and I’d have to go back 700 years to find its equivalent. But I am basically a homebody, and just one afternoon in our little home, in our somewhat bigger back yard, reminded me of how lucky I am.

Wilson’s favorite spot is the boys’ bathroom, where it’s cool.
Theo the Cat’s favorite spot it Thomas’s bed. The photo is not to scale: Visualize a cat the size of a newborn rhinoceros. Only surlier.

Meanwhile, we have chicken and squash…
And lemon-herb rice…
And barbecued corn on the cob…
And my favorite superhero, Fertilizer Woman…
And next week, her cherry tomatoes!
And, oh, yeah: We live in Arroyo Grande, California, US of A. “Shelter in Place” in a place like this is about twenty clicks on your Blessings Counter.
