Jim just finished WW2, great read. I was born in SLO and lived in the County for many years. Thelma Murry Anderson’s husband Elmer was my mothers cousin. There were four cousin’s, Elmer Anderson, Albert Anderson Lorraine Anderson and my mother Dorothy Jackson. They were all about the same age and very close. Albert was a favorite with the whole family and many stories have been passed down over the years about Albert and his lose in WW2.I have spent a lot of time researching Albert’s military record at the National Archives in St Luis MO. Along with family memories I have put together a fairly detailed picture of Albert’s short life and lose during WW2.I f you ever do a following up to WW2 you might take a look at Albert’s story. I would be happy to share my research with you.

    • He was a China Marine? That alone is a huge deal! I just might do a sequel, David, and this is a story that needs to be told. Thank you!
